Garnet Valley High School dedicates plaque to veterans
Garnet Valley High School teacher Mark Pontzer had a mission aside from his Biology classroom and lab. A captain in the Pennsylvania Army Guard, 28th Infantry Division, Pontzer wanted to acknowledge district graduates doing “honorable work” in military service. He said he felt they were not properly recognized. He has worked on a project for several years, and made it a reality on Veterans Day.
